NHS chief calls for social care reforms within a year

Sir Simon Stevens has called for a solution to properly fund adult social care to be brought forward within the next year.

On the 72nd birthday of the National Health Service, the chief executive of NHS England said: ‘After at least two decades of talking about it we do not have a fair and properly resourced adult social care system with a proper set of workforce supports.’
