NOC means collaboration is key

In the wake of the recent local elections, debates have focused on Conservative losses, Labour gains and what it all means for the next General Election.

However, the big winner was no overall control (NOC), with more councils going to NOC than to any of the political parties outright. It is an environment where the political balance is marginal, power dynamics can be complex and unpredictable, and challenges won’t get solved without effective collaboration.
