Last week saw the biggest arm of local government come together when the District Councils’ Network staged our annual conference.
These are trying times and our discussions about the increasing demand for services amid intensifying financial constraint reflected this. Our ask for greater freedoms was clear to Local Government Minister Lee Rowley, who attended.
