Qualified opinion for Lancashire accounts

Lancashire CC’s auditors have issued a qualified opinion on the county’s value for money work amid lingering concerns over children’s services and internal controls.

Audit firm Grant Thornton for the year ended in March said it was ‘satisfied the authority put in place proper arrangements for securing economy, efficiency and effectiveness in its use of resources’.
