Report calls for government to help stretched local decision-makers

Ministers must act to ease the worries of stretched local decision-makers amid rising concerns about their role, a cross-government report has urged.

The report by the C-19 National Foresight Group, which found local decision-makers felt they were ‘not being consulted or notified on a plethora/number of issues,’ said recognition of the situation by the Government was ‘paramount’.
