Royal Mail wins High Court bid to halt strike

The Royal Mail has won its High Court bid to halt a postal strike in the run up to the General Election amid fears it would hit postal votes. 

The court ruled the Communication Workers’ Union (CWU) ballot was unlawful, and has issued an interim injunction which will require a further ballot before any industrial action can be taken.
