The EU Committee of the regions still remains relatively unknown. The MJ’s Dan Peters went to Brussels to cover a recent plenary session and find out more.

The UK’s relationship with the European Union (EU) is rarely out of the news these days.

Whether we remain a member or not, local government across the continent faces broadly similar issues.

This is the philosophy behind the Committee of the Regions, a 350-strong assembly of local politicians that recently began a new five-year mandate.
