Getting a local plan in place and then actually delivering the growth proposed in it is a huge challenge for all councils. In Peterborough we have not only prepared our own local plan successfully, we have helped prepare for other councils too. And in parallel, we are facilitating the delivery of ambitious growth proposals for the city, comprising more than 1,000 homes per year, employment land and major new infrastructure fit for the 21st century.

An up-to-date local plan is fundamental to any successful council. It drives growth and regeneration, delivers growth and protects areas from unwanted development.
