Shropshire Council has revealed its former chief executive received a severance payment of more than £124,000.
Clive Wright was pushed out by the council’s leading Conservative group in February 2020 after eight years in charge of the authority.In a statement Shropshire said: ‘The council’s draft statement of accounts, now published, shows that the outgoing chief executive, who left the role with immediate effect in early 2020, received a severance payment of £124,036.
