Smaller top team will 'reduce capacity'

Bexley LBC has admitted that proposals for a smaller top team will reduce its capacity over the short and medium-term.

A report to a meeting of the council’s general purposes and audit committee said the proposals, when fully implemented, will deliver a full-year budget reduction in the cost of senior management of about £900,000, with a saving of £450,000 delivered in 2020/21.
