Tax increases more likely than austerity, says Flanders

A top economist has predicted that tax increases are more likely than another bout of austerity.

Speaking at Solace’s conference today, Stephanie Flanders, who has been head of Bloomberg Economics since October 2017, said there was consensus on this among many in the two main political parties.
