Two 'areas of intervention' named

The easing of the lockdown in two council areas has been paused after data showed COVID-19 was increasing faster than elsewhere in the country.

Indoor gyms, swimming pools and other sport and exercise facilities within the upper-tier local authority boundaries of Blackburn with Darwen Council and Luton BC will not reopen on Saturday after both areas were categorised as an ‘area of intervention’.
