Uncertain wait for pension funds

Pension funds are mired in uncertainty as they wait to find out whether the Supreme Court accepts the Government’s request to appeal the McCloud case.

The original McCloud judgement deemed that the transitional protection offered to some public sector scheme members was unlawful because it discriminated on age.

It has been estimated that the judgement could cost about £4bn per year.
