Unions criticise 'unnecessary' pay offer delay

The three unions representing council workers today criticised ‘unnecessary delays’ after local government employers failed to make them a pay offer for 2020/21.

A meeting of the national employers took place yesterday – more than six months after unions submitted a 10% pay claim – but an offer is not expected to be revealed until a meeting next month.
