‘United action necessary’ as homelessness numbers soar

Council and charity leaders have launched fresh calls for united action on homelessness after figures revealed spiralling pressure on local budgets.

London Councils’ housing spokesman, Sir Steve Bullock, this week warned the country was facing a ‘huge homelessness problem’ which had ‘accelerated dramatically’ since 2011.
