Voter ID 'colossal waste of money,' says Labour

Proposals to introduce voter ID are a ‘colossal waste of money,’ Labour has argued.

Speaking in a Westminster Hall debate yesterday, the party’s shadow minister for voter engagement, Cat Smith, said that requiring photo ID for voting was estimated to cost £120m over a decade.
