‘We are in a solid position'

Local government in Nottinghamshire has been under the spotlight recently for a range of reasons – not all of them auspicious ones.

Last week the improvement board overseeing Nottingham City Council’s financial progress warned it still has major financial resilience challenges and missed an October deadline as it wrestles with £60m of funding gaps over the next two years.
