Two in three people in the capital say they would turn to their local authority for help with severe weather, according to a new survey by London Councils.

‘As local authorities take over responsibility for public health, the challenge for London's councils is to do more to co-ordinate effective action to adapt to changing weather,' said chair of London Councils' transport and environment committee, Cllr Catherine West.
