Welsh council leaders welcome cash injection

The Welsh Government has raised the funding floor from -1% to -0.5% to allow council leaders to address the most significant service pressures.

Details of the extra resources included an extra £6m to meet social care pressures, £15m to help local authorities meet the cost of implementing the teachers’ pay award and an extra £100m for councils’ general capital fund.
