Is the local government pay offer a good one?
The news this week that the local government employers were suggesting a flat rate pay rise is an interesting one. In past years there has been a percentage increase, or a percentage rise with a flat rate floor for low paid staff. But in the history of the Local Government Association this year’s offer is unique.
