Williams in reorganisation rescue bid to Boris

The County Councils’ Network’s (CCN) Conservative leader has made a brazen direct appeal to Prime Minister Boris Johnson as he seeks to salvage the reorganisation agenda.

In a letter to Mr Johnson seen by The MJ, CCN chairman David Williams attempted to downplay fears that reorganisation will wipe out large swathes of Tory councillors, who are viewed as foot soldiers vital to helping get the party elected.
