Five success factors for delivering a fair recovery

With a swathe of local election victories and attention turning to the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government has reiterated its commitment to levelling up and reducing geographical inequalities.

As we look beyond the pandemic, it’s critical that local and national government and businesses work together to deliver a fair recovery, and a greener economy. To understand how the challenges of inequality can be addressed, PwC surveyed 4,000 members of the UK public, about their concerns around geographical inequality and what they believe should be the priorities in the levelling up agenda.
