Pre-election jitters have failed to damped the local government outsourcing market, which now represents a quarter of all such spend in the UK.

According to figures published by arvato UK in its latest outsourcing index, the council outsourcing market hit a five-quarter high in the first three months of 2015, with £350m of deals signed.
