A new future for reorganisation

Recent independent reports for the County Councils’ Network (CCN) on structural reform have been subject to debate. And with a speech from communities secretary Sajid Javid, much of our annual conference was informative on the future course of reform.

First, the Government showed a clear appetite for change where proposals ‘have a firm focus on what’s best for local people’.
