Chief executive to trade Somerset for New Zealand

The chief executive of South Somerset DC, Alex Parmley, is to step down from his role as he prepares for a move to the other side of the world.

After five years at South Somerset, he will be leaving to take up a position as chief executive of Waitaki District Council in New Zealand.
