Climate change: ‘community is the new COP’

From the recent floods in China, Germany and other parts of western Europe, to the wildfires in Greece – extreme weather events are being witnessed right across the world at an increasingly regular rate.

These major events from just the past few weeks represent a stark illustration of the findings from the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report: that scientists have warned of increasingly extreme heatwaves, droughts and flooding due to changes in the Earth’s climate in every region and across the whole climate system.
