Arts Council England will stand with local authorities that seize the chance to build a vibrant new reality for every place, born out of creativity, says Darren Henley

As we emerge from the pandemic, culture, which has been so important in helping many people cope during various lockdowns, remains vital to the economic and social recovery of our cities, towns, and villages. 

Local authorities’ decades long commitment to culture has ensured that our cultural organisations, including museums and libraries, have been able to play their part in new and innovative ways.  The Arts Council is committed to building upon our existing strong partnerships with local government so that the cultural sector can support our communities to thrive and succeed in the future.
