Council apologises over property investments

Kensington and Chelsea LBC has apologised to residents for putting income above community benefits in its past property investments.

An independent report into four property transactions before 2017 found the council held a ‘narrow’ goal of maximising rental income, although there was ‘no wrongdoing on the part of members nor officers’.
