Councillors reject fossil fuel pension divestment

Wrexham CBC has voted down a motion to pressure a pension fund into shifting investment away from firms dealing in carbon fuels.

The motion was made by 16 members of the Labour, Lib Dem and Plaid Cymru opposition groups to ‘press for the rapid disinvestment in carbon fuel companies’ by the Clwyd Pension Fund.
