Councils to buy waste facility after deal terminated

Two councils are negotiating to buy a waste treatment facility after a problematic deal collapsed.

The plant in Sinfin, which had been due to enter full operation in 2017, has stopped taking in any waste after a contract with Derby City Council and Derbyshire CC was terminated.
