Councils urged to go faster on grants

Council chief executives have been urged by the Government to go faster in distributing COVID-19 grants.

Business secretary Kwasi Kwarteng has written to all local authorities to stress that firms affected by the pandemic were depending on funds administered by councils for their survival.
