Cumbria suffers 'loss of trust and reputational damage'

Cumbria CC has suffered from a breakdown in trust following an error in a planning application for an incinerator, an independent review has found.

The review into the incident said it had a 'serious negative effect on the council’s reputation, and on the trust and confidence of the public’.
