Data collection to begin on ‘underappreciated’ libraries

The Government has agreed to implement the findings of an independent report into libraries in an effort to bolster awareness and engagement.

Baroness Sanderson’s report, commissioned by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, found libraries were ‘often overlooked and underappreciated’ and ‘struggle to be heard at a national and local level’.
