COP28 or cop out? For the past fortnight it has been all eyes on Dubai, hosting the 28th annual United Nations climate change conference, or Conference of the Parties.
It has been controversial, with the president of COP28 initially claiming there is no science to indicate that fossil fuels need to be phased out to limit temperature increases, and in his other role as chief executive of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, meeting conference attendees to discuss business.
