Election funds 'not enough'

Government funding for running elections under pandemic restrictions does not go far enough, the Local Government Association (LGA) has said.

The Cabinet Office is providing £15m to help councils make May’s polls COVID-secure, with an estimated £16m to be reimbursed as part of funding for police and crime commissioner elections.
