Fears of extra burdens from procurement proposals

New procurement rules could pile extra burdens onto councils, the Local Government Association (LGA) has privately warned.

Despite one of the stated aims of the Government’s procurement Green Paper being to move away from ‘complicated and stifling rules,’ the LGA fears many of the proposals could add further burdens onto local authorities.
