Freeports threaten to ‘undermine devolution’

Devolved administrations in Scotland and Wales have raised concerns they are being sidelined by the UK Government as it presses ahead with establishing freeports.

Scottish and Welsh ministers have claimed Westminster intends to 'move forward without devolved consent’ and warned they will ‘robustly challenge any attempt by the UK Government to legislate in devolved matters’.
