Reforms aimed at further integrating health and care should not distract from delivering services, Rachael Shimmin, adult social care lead at the Association of County Chief Executives has warned.
Speaking at The MJ's Future Forum this afternoon, Ms Shimmin, told delegates she was ‘delighted’ that the Government was taking steps to reform social care, but was ‘nervous’ about how it would affect both the public purse and provider market.
