Get rid of 'delays, deadlock and paralysis'

Delays. Deadlock. Paralysis. These are the words that have come to define the process of Government for the last three years. Yet another General Election has been called, uncertainty reigns supreme, and we continue to have no greater understanding of when the spectre of Brexit will begin to lift.

But as we fly past the latest Brexit deadline and head to the polls for the third time since 2015, let us take a moment to mourn the fiscal event that never was. The chancellor promised a 6 November Budget that would allow the Government to ‘get on with governing’.
