Government’s ‘top down’ approach hindering LRFs

Poor communication by the UK Government of crucial changes to coronavirus policies is a central problem being experienced by local resilience forums (LRFs), says new research.

The Government’s ‘centralised directives’ have not always easily integrated with place-based governance, according to research fellow in policing at University College London Dr Arabella Kyprianides, but the accusations have been rejected by the Government.
