Grenfell inquiry hears of dire warnings before fire

Kensington and Chelsea LBC was warned of the dire consequences of a fire at Grenfell Tower years before the blaze that left 72 people dead.

The Grenfell inquiry head that Cllr Judith Blakeman contacted the housing department on 4 July 2009, the day after the Lakanal House fire in Camberwell that claimed the lives of six people, with concerns about Grenfell.
