Grenfell works not an ‘afterthought’

Kensington & Chelsea LBC’s former housing director has denied the refurbishment of Grenfell Tower before the fatal fire was an ‘afterthought’.

An inquiry into the June 2017 blaze, which claimed the lives of 72 people, heard the architects for the refurbishment, Studio E, had no prior experience with cladding on high-rise buildings.
