A tax increase for the over-40s could be introduced to bridge the adult social care spending gap after the health secretary praised the idea.
The comments by Matt Hancock come ahead of the publication of the Government’s long-awaited social care Green Paper, which the sector hopes will address the £2.5bn spending gap.
