Herts and Veolia end incinerator contract

A contract between Hertfordshire CC and Veolia to build an incinerator has been terminated after repeatedly failing to gain planning permission.

Dating back to 2011, the contract would have provided for Veolia to build an energy recovery facility to dispose of waste that could not be recycled.
