Islington proposes £16m scheme for abuse survivors

Islington LBC has proposed to pay out up to £16m to thousands of people who suffered abuse in its children’s homes.

Consultation has opened on the scheme, under which the council would make a ‘support payment’ of £8,000 to survivors.
