Kent’s very own powerhouse

Paul Carter is a driven man. He may have stepped down this month as leader of Kent CC after 14 years in the job, but he’s staying on as a councillor.

At the age of 65, and having also recently finished his four years as chairman of the County Councils’ Network (CCN), he wants to work ‘three days a week, not six days’.
