The COVID-19 pandemic has arguably been most devastating for those at either end of the lifespan: the young and the old. Technology has been to the fore in ameliorating that impact, with online learning for children; Zoom or Skype chats with friends and family for the more fortunate and tech-savvy members of the older generation.
