Manchester predicts £136m budget gap

A £136m deficit is looming for Manchester City Council’s budget in the next financial year.

Although the council is expected to weather the storm by the end of 2020/21, the devastating impact wrought on air travel by the COVID-19 crisis is expected to take its toll in 2021/22.
