Meeting community expectations

People rightly expect public services to be run in their best interests. This sets a challenge for providers to meet user expectations but also presents an opportunity to take direction from people on what they want and need.

Local authorities can take heart in Citizens Advice’s research, which finds people feel their councils better represent them than national government. But there is some progress to be made in how local government engages local communities in its decision-making.
