Minister Gillian Keegan has claimed ‘every single option was looked at’ before the Government considered raising National Insurance (NI) to pay for health and social care.
Speaking at a fringe event at the Conservative Party conference, she claimed the NI rise was deemed to be ‘fair’ as businesses pay too and the public trusted it would be ring-fenced.
